Alpha cut out

Hi there! I am trying to implement the effect disappearing of texture like on the screenshots

First of all, I wanna add an alpha cut to make texture disappear and appear.

But, when I add segmentation it’s just a clipping.

Any tips on it?


First, I think you might want to use normal channel combine instead of those PBR lighting nodes. Or are you using this shader on a 3D object? If it’s for a 3D object, there is an object dissolve shader in the materials template. That might be worth checking out.

Do you have a method for filling in the background? I remember you were looking into some ML stuff for that. Did you find anything that works?

its work for me when I cut out 3d object, but can’t do it with texture.

Still learning how to create custom ML for snap
