I want to make a Tetris game on Spark AR but I’m not sure where to start.
Any leads will be super beneficial.
Are we talking 2D or 3D?
This tutorial looks pretty good. A lot of the hard parts of making a tetris game aren’t unique to Spark, but conveniently, this tutorial is in JS. I’d suggest doing this tutorial in browser JS, then you can translate that knowledge into Spark.
Ok so technically, it seems fairly simple.
I’d start by focusing on the interactions of the game and how they’d translate with face triggers.
- How would you like the user to make the block pieces?
- How would you like to change the orientation of the block pieces?
- Do you want special levels? Tricks? How would you do that?
And once you’ve thought these, let’s assign some of the face triggers or face interactions that user could like.
If it’s for Instagram, try to keep in mind the maximum length of one story and how many stories you can record max on one game. That should rythm the speed of the falling pieces so user doesn’t get frustrated in case not to be able to win in one game.
That’s if you want to keep it simple.
The persistency module can come in handy for making users come back to unlock levels and raise the difficulty!
