I can add a lot of target trackers to the scene, but I’m skeptical that they will all work. Does anyone know if there’s a limit to the number of tracked targets?
I just tested 12 and it worked… so I guess more than 12? I’m sure it’s terrible for performance, lol
I tried 15 before and worked
it’s possible that if Spark AR allowed the effect creator to offer the picker UI setup for the user to basically tell the effect which of several targets was currently being scanned, then the performance when using an effect including a lot of targets could maybe be significantly optimized that way - but AFAIK (and I only know patches not scripting) Target Trackers cannot be dynamically set in any way
Yeah that would be a nice optimization, but it seems like they made some crazy improvements with the multi tracker update. I didn’t have any problems with lag on my 12-stack test, and my phone is pretty old. BUT… it was an empty effect so maybe adding elements would start to slow things down.
