Dynamic UV unwrapping

Hello everyone.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with dynamic UV unwrapping like Denis’s breaking ground effect here: Meta Spark Community | I continue working on interactive destructible geometry in Spark AR: no baked animations | Facebook

Can you give me some tips on where to start? I made the shattered pieces using cell fracture in Blender but I have no idea about how to apply dynamic uv unwrapping part.
